How do you finally start exercising and improve your overall fitness? Check out our tips on how to go on a journey of life in the name of fitness and an active lifestyle that will transform you into a better self.

Okay, I assume you are here because exercise has numerous benefits, and you probably already know some. We are all different, and whether you want to live an active lifestyle for your general health, feel better, build muscle, or lose weight, you are still alive and have the power to change your life.
But you must achieve that yourself; I can't do it for you. I have problems starting myself, and every start is difficult. Forget yesterday; tomorrow is a new day and a new beginning. Please choose only one activity and let it be something you enjoy most.
Before exercising, be sure to have a health check-up and then make a plan with your own but realistic goals. It is crucial to consult with a health facility and find out your health condition in time to avoid the risks of some sports activity. This way, you help a professional or a trainer adapt and optimize your sports activity plan. It is crucial for bodybuilding or strength exercises and all fitness activities.
How To Start Exercising Journey
The tips below will help you because they did for me, too.
Tip 1 - Know yourself
The mind is a powerful tool that can influence our thoughts, actions, and experiences, shaping how we perceive and interact with the world. You have to ask yourself why you are doing it and what the main reason is. When you understand why, tell yourself I'm starting and will succeed 100 % this time.
Tip 2 - Grow like a tree
Start very simply and grow like a tree, slowly but surely. Everything that grows fast breaks even faster. Fitness starts simply.
True success isn't just about reaching the top quickly. It's about the journey, the lessons learned, and the character built along the way.
Tip 3 - Habit is what keeps you going
You have to create a habit, and that is important. Stick to your routine every day. You can put your plan on paper, weekly or monthly. Buy a weekly plan or to-do notebook where you write down your fitness activity plan and stick to it. Here is a very simple A4 Weekly Planner (affiliate link). It takes some time to form a habit, about a few weeks, so be consistent at the beginning. Of course, it takes the same amount of time to break a habit. While you probably create a new habit, the old one fades away. That's how it works.
Tip 4 - Constant progress
Progress slowly and measure your fitness progress. Please write it down every day. If you walk or run, count your steps or distance every day. You can do that easily with a smartwatch that connects to your smartphone and measures your daily activity. We recommend buying this simple, easy-to-use Smart Watch (affiliate link). It is undoubtedly essential to improve each day.
Tip 5 - Reward yourself
Reward yourself after completing the weekly activity. For example, after five days of sports activity, you can reward yourself with two days of rest. Rest is just as important as a workout. We are not robots with artificial intelligence; we are human beings who need sleep, rest, and quality food. Feel free to reward yourself with anything else you like.
Tip 6 - Surround yourself with supportive people, and everything will be possible
It is also vital to find groups or people with similar experiences, share successes, and learn from and motivate each other to start exercising. You can also use the SimpleTreeFit platform, where the magic happens. By learning from others, you can learn something and help others too.
Tip 7 - The second part of the article title states that you are responsible for the remaining 99% of success.
That's it! I've been really passionate about a variety of sports activities and have lovingly dedicated years to them. I also find joy in exploring many different kinds of sports! Last year and a half, I went to the gym and followed a specific program, and the results were quite visible. I often walk, either running or walking a few kilometers daily. Living and slowly growing feels excellent, so explore the activities, stick to the plan, and move forward. Maybe you will even find your passion. You will never know if you don't start.
